Automatic transmission IS 250/350?

Is it bad to just keep on the gas and shift gears? Just wondering

no, you do not have to let off the gas. However, when you switch from auto to sport shift, the gear will drop to 4th (most of the time) or 5th gear. If you are driving at 60 mph or above, you will feel the car to slow down and the RPM go higher.

Normally I switch to sports mode everytime I start the engine. If I want to stay in auto mode, just leave the gear setting to 6. For sports mode, set the gear I want it to be.

you are not required. you can drive it either way you wish, whatever works for you. i personally do not let off the gas, in fact, i might be pressing down even harder sometimes.

Do you ever notice that the Sports mode have a mind of its own?

I put the mode display on gears when im on sports mode. when you get to a certain speed and really not pushing the car to its limit, it automatically shift the gear up or if the car is slowing down it down shift on its own as well.

I, as well, was advised during test drive of the vehicle that the gas peddle DOES NOT NEED TO BE LET OFF. So i didnt . . . and it worked out great.

Yes, let off the gas pedal, and release the paddle shifter slowly like you would with a manual clutch! Just joking! Just keep on gasing!

Well not exactly. There's a thread on why it does it, too long to explain here, maybe I look for it (something about double shifting quickly and the car following thru later).... Short story is I leave my display on gears and it never ever shifts unintendedly ( <--is that a word? ).

Its a auto no need to let off gas...

BUT wiht that said anyone try rev matching? hahaha I do it and it actually works. I havent perfected it yet.

Tap the left paddle and then blip the throttle. Now I just need to figure out if thats good / bad for the transmission. Does it really go into neutral at that time or am I killing the tq converter? Then again when the car does it itself it uses the car speed along with the tq converter to bring the Revs up. so....
