Huh? I thought the only people who got iPods were the people who had IS250AWD cars and needed the gas pedal recall. (His signature says he has a six speed, so he obviously isn't one of them)

That was for the AWD recall.

I haven't heard of any gifts for the seatbelt recall. I didn't even get a fill-up on gas...

Yeah, obviously I'm wrong, didn't read that one correctly (confused on the recalls). The seatbelt recall was for a bunch of us including the 350s and there isn't a ipod involved this time I'm pretty sure.

I got the ipod for the gas peddle recall. For the seat belt recall, they picked my car up at the office, brought it back washed with a full tank of gas. Not bad service but I would rather not have the recalls.

Anyone know if the seatbelt recall applies to PCS equiped vehicles? Any PCS owner get a notice yet? I haven't. Since the belt retractors are linked to PCS, it's likely a different setup.

I also got the recall for the seat belts. The Canadian IS250 AWD owners who got affected by the gas pedal recalls also got the IPODs from Lexus Canada.

They got the Ipod b/c the recall happened too early?

Maybe I should call up Lexus Canada to find out..

I think the reason that they gave out the iPod was that the recall was deemed serious enough that dealers were told not to deliver cars until they were fixed. It also held up cars at the port. A number of people, including several here, had the delivery of their car held up by a week or so.

How's the PCS, TimboIS?

Is it just me, or do some of the responses seem to indicate Lexus' going beyond the normal treatment of recalls by returning cars washed with a full tank of gas doesn't buy them much anymore with the consumer?

It's almost like everyone expects the notch to be continually turned up with every generation. But then again, I'd love an iPod too!

I think there is resentment that some Lexus dealers aren't holding up their end of the bargain. There are plenty of people reporting that the dealer DID NOT fill the tank when they had their recall performed.

As for me, they gave me a nice RX330 to drive, filled my tank, and generally rolled out the red carpet. I'm pleased.
