Talking Woopie

Yes, I picked up my new 350 sprt yesterday from my new dealer!! The process was quick and smooth. They even let me put a bigger downpayment on my credit card then what they usually allow ($1000 down to hold the car, then another $2000 during signing). I had the $2000 as credit from refund for my 1st downpayment at my original dealer<--

Anyway, I cant't believe how smooth and great this car is, better than I imagined. I end up with the SMG, and I must say I love it, i think more than my original choice of BWB..sorry philipMST.

Pics are to come soon when the weather stays sunny. Thanx to all who've helped answered questions and gave opinions.

I do have one question though, when I was driving it lastnight, I couldnt tell if/how the AFS works. Can you all see your beam more to the right or left when turning? I didnt see anything.
Thanks all!

Congrats. First make sure the AFS is turned on (use the little <<on/off>> button to the left of the steering wheel) and you should see the lights move with turns. You'll need to be in an area with little or no ambient lighting, but it's easy to see when AFS is on.

Congrats on the car!! It isn't a huge turn with the headlights, but they do turn.

Nice...

By the way, AFS works when you are going more than 20 mph, so it doesn't work if you're trying to check it while in park or idle.

Are you sure about that, I've seen it move while making u-turns below 20mph.

As have I. In fact, every morning it's quite obvious that it's functioning as I drive down the mountain from my house, and I'm only doing about 10mph at that point.

AFS does not work while standing still but it might work at speeds
less than 20 MPH.
Make sure APS is turned on. This can be checked in the multi function
display.
With your low beams on, look at the horizontal beam cutoff line while
driving. Both left and right beams will have a small marker spot in the
center of this horizontal cutoff line. You can go around a residential neighborhood where
you can quickly turn the wheel and watch this spot move in the direction
that you turn the wheel.

Is AFS on every IS or just on the 350?

It was a guesstimate. I guess I drive a little too fast to notice.

It's on any IS with factory installed HID headlights.
