Default Climate Settings

Just curious how others have set up there IS climate setting.

Do you go with the Auto mode and forget it?

What about air conditioning? I think in the auto setting the AC is on most of the time. Seems with auto the fan at a higher speed than I would choose otherwise.

Comments?

I have mine set to auto and the fan speed is set to med or at least that is where it stays. Just adjust the fan speed if it is blowing too hard.

I have it set to auto and the highest setting.

Its consistently 100 degrees as of late, so if I dont, the leather bakes my ***.

I had the recirculate/ventilate switchover changed to manual mode at the dealer, because I like to keep the A/C in recirculate mode permanantly when it is humid outside. Before the dealer set that option, the car switched to ventilate as soon as the interior temp dropped close to the set point.

Beyond that, I usually leave it in auto, except when I am using the hands-free phone on a hot day. Due to wind noise being picked up by the microphone (even with the vents pointed down), I'll usually either drop the fan speed or direct air to the floor vents.

The AC runs all the time to dehumidify the cabin and keep the air, hot or cold, comfortable.

You can leave the climate control in AUTO mode and turn off the AC (just tap the AC button). This is what I typically do when it's cool out... no need to run the AC and use up extra gas, and AUTO will still do all it can to keep the cabin temp at your desired setting.

amen, this is what i do. But the auto re-circulate mode is great for the hot days.

How did the do it? Is it a part of the personalization process?

Yes, it's one of the LPS (Lexus Preference System) options.
