have to compare the V6s but the IS is obviously more expensive, but the interior is much better than a TL. IS350 is significantly faster than the TL. IS250 is more on the lines of a TSX. I felt the extra price over the TL was more than worth it to get an IS350 thats why I now want an IS
The TL was my first choice before I heard about the 2IS, but the whole fact that it's front wheel drive and it's a Honda is what kept me from buying it. Once the 2IS came out, I knew I had to have it.

I agree that Lexus has done a great job on seperating itself from it's parent company...although every Lexus dealer I've been to I always here some salesman saying Toyota this and Toyota that and such. But lets not forget, wasnt the 1st gen IS badged as an Toyota in Japan?
Of course, I have not test driven them yet, which is not helping.
To be honest, I believe this should be principle among your deciding factor. My good buddy owns an 05 TL, and currently has close to 20k miles on it. Given the miles in relation to time, obviously the car has been driven, a LOT, and has no squeeks to speak of, while everything is functioning perfectly as you'd hope to expect from most vehicles on the Acura line. Theres no reason to be driving the car to its limit, but the vehicle is very well poised for daily driving, and has far more space than the IS with a great deal more standard features at a very nice price. RWD/FWD and power are the main differences, but the TL makes more than enough power to pass on the higway, while FWD is pretty easy to live with...honestly, most people should've gotten used to the dynamics of FWD cars by now. The ride is a 'tad' more stiff than the stock suspension on the IS, but its well dampened to absorb the bumps. I think the IS benefits from coming out as a later model, with better materials, engine and tranny, but the TL is a great car. Again, I'd say a test drive is the only way to do yourself justice.
Thanks, everyone, for the responses. I currently drive a TSX. I had a G35 coupe. I miss the power/sportiness of the coupe and I like the room/comfort/quality of the TSX. I think I want to stay around 35K, so we'll see.
if you can sacrifice some of the backseat from the TSX to get an IS (TSX has a couple more inches in the back from what ive noticed. Just depends on your perspective and life situation. Around 35k you will have a IS350 with no options and that is if you get a break on MSRP.
2007 TL mid life refresh is coming BTW may want to see that, also the new G35 redesign is really nice
Yes, I am interested in what the refresh of the TL will be. I am not really that excited about the new G35, from the pics I have seen, although, I bet it will look better in person.
