Default stock audio system

what do you guys think of the stock system? i usually play bass heavy songs with the sound to around 40 and the bass at +3. i can kind of hear a little bit of distortion now and then but i dont know if it's the song quality, my ears, or if the speakers are starting to get messed up. does anyone experience anything with the speakers?

i find that the stock stereo system is actually very good. The highs and mids are adequate but the lows are lacking unless you bump up the bass which will cause distortion. You can always add a small sub to your car just to give it that extra kick you are looking for.

It's the rear sub that sucks, the rest of the stereo sounds great. I have already had the dealer replace the rear sub and it still sounds like crap on bass heavy songs with the bass set to zero.
I have an 8'' JL sub left over from my last car. I would like to use it instead of the factory sub. Does anyone know which wires on the amp go to the sub?
I still have the JL amp too, but I don't want to go thru all of that again. I'd rather just hook the sub up to the Lexus amp.

I'm disappointed with the bass on the stock stereo. Boosted, it's very muddy. Flat, or down a notch, it's much cleaner but it lacks punch, especially at lower volume levels.

Stock sound system is average to a little bit above average. Bass is not too impressive. I wish they had a car with ML on the lot.

when the setting is set to center, i think the sound is a little too in front so i just leave it with +1 to the rear. but other than that asl is off, bass +3 or +4. for the music play, mainly noncomerical hiphop where the bass is very heavy and whole sounding... the stock system does alright actually. however, i do hear a little distortion sometimes. the only thing i could complain about the stock system is how the bass doesnt have that deep vibration to it--you hear it but you dont feel it.
