Default MP3 Folder Override?

I have a 2006 IS 350 with Nav. The screen locks out your ability to access folders on an MP3 disk while the car is moving. I found the override for imputing destinations while driving. Is there an override for accessing folders??
What is the point of having 100 songs on a disc, if I can't find the songs I want when driving?? I hate these safety features!!!

Here's all the info you need to override the mp3 folders DVD play backs if you have ML Audio Package. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...t=nav+override

For Nav overriding, you can hit MENU button and hit Volume on your screen. Then hit the top left corner, bottom left corner, top left corner, and bottom left corner of your Nav screen. After doing that sequence, a maintainence screen will come up. Hold down the Override button on your screen until you hear a beep and then hit OK. That procedure will allow you to input Destinations when you're driving.

I don't understand what you mean by finding songs in the MP3 folders. I have 2 cd's in my car loaded with mp3's and folders and I can scan up and down folder by folder while driving while doing nothing with overriding anything. I just hit the folder up and folder down button. Is there another way to view MP3 folders that I'm missing out on?

great info! I just tried this and it appeared to work. THanks. I hope the memory saves that setting so you only have to do it once.

another thing I just noticed while I was down in my garage trying this....my bluetooth connection was successful and I didn't have my phone anywhere near the car. It was upstairs in my living room. crazy cool

nope, you have to do it everytime... there is no memory setting to save it.... it auto resets itself.
