Update on NAV hack . . . no problems?
Just wondered if people who have done the NAV hack would discuss their experience with it so far. I really would like to do this when I get my IS in July, but wanted to make sure and hear about how it panned out for people who have done it a couple months ago. Anyone having any problems or anything? Is this considered a pretty reliable modification, I guess is what Im trying to get at.
This is a pretty reliable modification. I just performed it on my IS, however I will note that there is room to misconnect the wires if you go exclusively by text based instructions. If you use the instructions and also go by the pictures, you should not have any problems.

If I have to complain about something, it would be that some of my foreign language DVDs have difficulty showing the English subtitles quick enough. Sometimes, it skips it all together.
For me, and the amount of time I spend driving in my car (it now has 12k miles) I am REALLY happy that I figured out the hack.....not a single day goes by that I dont take full advantage the hack provides....and NO I have had no problems with it.....
