What is this picture of?

I received it with my 350. It's customized with the dealer's name so it doesn't appear to be a standard part. Any ideas? It's perfectly square with handles with a velcro strap. I thought maybe a seat cover, but really didn't line up. Figured I'd start here rather than call the dealer. Thanks.

IS picnic blanket?

Maybe it's for you to lie your back on when fixing your car from the undercarriage?

Or it's a trunk mat.

Those would be my guesses...

If its a trunk mat it definitely looks cheapy. If its an oil changing mat or something that would make more sense... it looks washable or something. Dont know.

Maybe one of those garage mats that you throw over the side of the car when you are working on the engine?

Toyota gave me a similar item when they acknowledged my '91 MR2 reaching 100,000 miles. I took it to be a picnic blanket. You know, unfold it on the grass and then sit on it while you eat your peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!

Or maybe mine (cuz it had the Toyota logo on it) was an MR2 parachute!

It gotta be a parachute since it has 2 "handles" on the top. Mats don't have handles.

Couldn't it be a mat to cover the rear seats? I saw a similar optional, somewhere... even 'cos the rear seats cannot be folded...
Could the 'handles' be used to fix the mat to the front or rear headrests?

2nd use: if inflated could be used under the car to have an off-the-shelf amphibian vehicle.

You guys are so silly. You really don't know what that's for?

It's an oversized bag or blanket for if you get a flat tire. You put the factory spare on, you take your flat off and wrap it with that, and then put it in the trunk.

Keeps brake dust, dirt, oil, tar, etc from getting all over the trunk of your IS.
