It's an oversized bag or blanket for if you get a flat tire. You put the factory spare on, you take your flat off and wrap it with that, and then put it in the trunk.

Keeps brake dust, dirt, oil, tar, etc from getting all over the trunk of your IS.

Really? That's a HUGE bag for just a wheel and tire...

Keep in mind that a wheel is not flat. I can't tell if it's a bag or if it's a mat. I haven't checked to see if I have one in my 350 yet, so I can't tell you. Anyways, if it's a bag, it would only be slightly oversized for an 18x8.5 wheel + Tire. (Think 3 dimensionally.)

I'd just ask your dealer.

Thanks everyone for the ideas, figured someone would recognize it right away.

Anyway, called the dealer and they said it's just a blanket/mat not designed for anything in specific. The handles and velcro strap just threw me off.

Did you ask them whether you can use it as a parachute?

Maybe a parachute for your flat tire?
