Default question about front license plate frame..

Ok, stupid here. I've seen pictues of the IS's with and without the FRONT license plate frames. Do you guys do that yourselves, or does the dealer, factory, what? I've just ordered my IS350 and I certainly don't want that on mine. I realize that in some states it is a requirement to have tags on front and back. Here where I reside, there is no such requirement. Just wonderin' , cause I need to do whatever to keep that off my vehicle. Thanks, and please excuse my ignorance of this.

just talk to your dealership and make sure they dn't drill holes. it's from dealership to dealership

here in cali i think most dealerships drill holes on their cars for license plate as soon as they come in. but i ordered my sc430 and said specifically NO HOLES, and i had to sign release of liability

In AZ it's not required. They put the bracket to hold your front license plate in the trunk. None of the cars on the lot had front plates.

"Ask and you shall not recieve"

My dealer had a waiver stating that if you don't want the bumper drilled, they won't. But they also won't be held liable if you get pulled over and ticketed for not having one. Gotta love their lawyers...

thanks guys for the replies. I guess I'll just ask my dealer to not drill holes. I've already emailed my saleslady and advised that I do not want this frame on my ride.

In Illinois it's required, but my dealer was smart enough to NOT drill holes. So at least in IL, it's a dealer installed option, and they didn't install it!

Georgia is just one plate on the back. However, alot of ppl here have german or other european plates on their import cars. Has anyone ever herd of people with japanese import plates on their cars? Just wondering.

I think our car looks great with the plate. Just put them on and it will save you a lot. Honestly, who will go up to you and say, "how come you have 2 holes in front of your car?"

Does anyone have photos of their car WITH the front license plate mounted? In MD/VA only the picky cops will have an issue with it, but I still don't like the idea of drilling into the front fascia.
