xenondepot kit does use thin ballasts....but it includes a separate ignitors, so it kind of defeats the purpose. I didn't get that particular kit but the install isn't that hard...check this thread...https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ghlight=%24449
I also went with the proxenon.com kit 4500K...normally $449, they had some kits on ebay for $278 which I got

so other HID kits usually have integrated ballasts and ignitors?

I just know the PROXENON.com kit has the integrated ballasts/ignitors and xenondepot doesn't.
