Default Leather

From a maintenace standpoint I would like to know which parts of the IS interior is actually leather and which aren't. I want to make sure I put the leather care products on leather and the vinyl care products on vinyl.

I don't think it will really make a difference. I use Lexol and I put it on everything. I even use it on the dash.

Shift **** and arm rest are leather too. What specifically do you want to know?

The seats and arm rests are all fair game to use leather conditioner on. The steering wheel and I wasn't sure but as Javy said and I will take his word the shift **** is leather too. However, they usually say not to use leather conditioner on the steering wheel or shift ****. I used it on my steering wheel, and aside for my hands being a little sticky the first time I used it after its been fine. Perhaps they say not to use it on those parts because they won't absorb?

The leather trim on the rear doors are not leather, I think they are vinyl.

I to use Meguiars leather wipes on everything leather/vinyl. I use a swifter duster on the dash and nooks and crannies (works great)

With few exceptions, automotive leather is coated for durability and colorfastness. You have a vinyl clear on your seats, so using leather conditioners on them is more marketing than reality.

You can use any good vinyl protectant on your seats with zero problems. You can also use leather care products on vinyl, as a previous post stated.

The rear door inserts are leather too. Care for them as such.

I always put leather cleaner/conditioner on anything leather and vinyl (I thought the shift **** and steering wheel were leather???). It has worked great for me, but be careful because some conditioners can get stuck in the perforation in your seats.
