On 12/30 I made an agreement with my local dealer for a Matador Red IS350 w/Cashmere, P1 pkg, spoiler and Spiders gave them a deposit and they said it would be in approx. 2-3 weeks. Now 5 weeks later, after I sent an email complaining to the salesman about lack of follow-up, he calls and said there are no cars of this combo w/o Nav scheduled to come to the US, East or West. I have absolutely no need for the Nav in my metro area. In fact my neighbor has it in his IS350 and the first time he used it it showed him driving in a field.
The worst part is, I told my wife a few weeks back I expected them to tell me this and upsell me to the Nav unit.

Ahhh, what good would that do if inventories show no units and allocations show no units.

Yep, that's what I thought.
The downside is had the sale guy done his job originally I'd now be 30%-50% into the wait not getting ready to start all over. Damn!

The sales guy was going to talk with his Mgr today and get back to me but I can't see them tossing in Nav for no charge.

 

Just get the nav and quit moaning.........Damn near all the cars they are shipping are coming with nav, so your trying to find the needle in the haystack.

Open your color options and I'm sure you'll find someting.


I'm in the opposite boat as you. I want the fully loaded car minus Park ***./radar and they are missing in action for the most part. Found a couple, but I don't want black, blue or puke green and theat narrows the field down a lot.

 

Screw that. The last thing I need is a little dot on a screen that tells me where I am (as if I didn't already know) and costs a few grand.

You'll almost never get the exact car or truck your looking for unless you order it. He's looking for red? Well, they shipped 18 red cars for the entire western region according to the dealer I am working with right now. You do the math........


He needs to open his options and look at what's available. If he finds a red/cash....good on him. But I wouldn't be suprised if it was nav/premium.

 

some people have been on the wait list since october and just got theirs in january, 2-3 weeks is a cakewalk
