Yes last time I left my car parked for 8 days, it started up just fine. The one time the battery drained and the car wouldn't start at all, after I got the jump start the battery ended up being just fine. Not necessary to replace it.

It's not very cool that the battery drained so much without shutoff, i would rather have everything completely disabled (forcing you to use your key and no alarm) just to be able have enough to re-start the car but not possible I guess. Good thing about free roadside.
