I am curious, does the Pre-Collision System (PCS) interfere with radar detectors? It is my understanding that the PCS uses radar in the front grill to detect cars infront of you, but will this set off the alarm with the radar detectors?
The radar is also used by the adaptive cruise control. The sensor only detects a specific frequency that was generated by the system itself--should be different from those used by the police or other vehicle's radar cruise control to avoid crosstalk (my guess is that the frequency is constantly changing). Sonar uses UNDERWATER sound waves--I hope the IS doesn't have it.
oops.. i just heard somewhere it was sonar.. but if you think about it.. it's sound waves bouncing back.. and that doesn't make sense.. haha... and plus it's through air.. so that would require very high pitched sound always thrown in front...
my fault.. all it takes is a little brain power and you could figure it out... i guess my finals are getting to me..

Park Assist is sonar. PCS & Dynamic Cruise/Adapter Cruise is radar.
The radar system operates in the 77 GHz band. Ka-band radar operates in the 34-35 GHz band, K-band is in the 24 GHz band, Ku-band (I don't think it's used in the U.S., at least not where I live) is in the 13-14 GHz band and X-band (does law-enforcement still use this band?) is in the 10 GHz band.
So no, it shouldn't interfere with your radar detector unless the radar emitter leaks in the harmonics and since it's designed to be extremely low power and at a relatively extreme high frequency band (due to the need that it doesn't need to be clocking an object 1-2 mi. ahead of it) you should be fine.
On that note but a bit off topic...my V1 picks up some Infiniti's Laser cruise control system from time to time. So far it's been mostly FX35/45 and a handful of QX56 and Armadas.

I had an FX35 with the laser cruise... if the FX was directly behind another car with a shiny bumper (e.g. at a red light) the laser alert would go off on the V1. I ended up putting duct tape over the laser device because it annoyed the hell out of me and I never used the feature.
