If you have a Treo 650 GSM Unlocked (Basically, Non-Cingular for the U.S. folks), you need the leaked FW 1.71/SW 1.20 for the phone to get it to work with the Bluetooth in the IS.

The current "official" 1.13 release for the Treo 650 GSM Unlocked will successfully pair with the Lexus, but will disconnect 5 seconds later after the initial connection. This leaked firmware fixes it and except for the battery level indicator on the NAV screen, the Treo 650 works great. And unlike my Sony T68i, when you initiate the call, the audio goes live immediately (you can hear the phone ringing), vs. hearing nothing until the other side picks up.

The official firmware which should fix this comes out in late February. But you Cingular and SprintPCS folks already have the fix I believe. It's us GSM Unlocked users which got left out in the cold. (I use T-Mobile).

Cheers,
Kermee

Seems like a lot of phones need firmware updates to connect to bluetooth correctly. That's not a bad thing though. We found a solution

Default Samsung 920, Sprint and Bluetooth

The A920 phone from Samsung does allow you to place a call, hands free, using Sprint service, from an IS250. However, the battery level and signal strength display on the car's screen don't show up like they are supposed to. And I haven't been able to test the data transfer feature yet.

I do know that you have to have the latest firmware update or the phone will not work. Tried the Sprint salesman's A920 phone (with the latest update) before buying one to see if it would work with Bluetooth, and it worked fine. But the new phone came with an earlier firmware version and it worked like Windows 2.0.

The bottom line is that with the latest firmware version on a Samsung A920 you will have at least the basic Bluetooth functionality in the IS250.
