Hey folks.
2010 IS250
I've done a relatively brief search and can't see an answer to this question. A couple of years ago our wiper assembly failed and in a pinch we had a shop fix it. I've learned the hard way that they are not great. The wiper linkage had broken. When we got it back, the wipers worked but the sweep was different. The driver side wiper does not sweep to the highest point and the passenger wiper bumps at the bottom. We took it back a couple of times and they said it's how it is. I took the assembly out trying to figure out what is happening. I have narrowed it down to two possible options.
1. The rotating arm attached to the motor is connected at the wrong motor position. But if this were the case the overall sweep would be the same, it would just be misaligned which is not the case as far as I can tell.
2. I have measured the two linkages that attach to the wiper bolts. On this assembly, the passenger side measures 27cm and the driver side measures 28cm.
What I am hoping someone can help with is, if you have an assembly, what are the lengths of the linkages attached to each wiper bolt?
Interested in the total lengths of the two linkages attached and which is attached to which bolt.
