Default Lexus IS250 P0456

Hello all,
I need to pass emissions and have a P0456 code on my 2009 Lexus IS250. I checked the gas cap and cleaned it and it seems totally fine. I know I can get a smoke test done, but that is more of a last resort for me because they are a bit expensive. Is this a common error code for this car? And where should check next for a leak? I checked the engine, granted I do not know all to well what to look for, but all the hoses seemed uncracked, so I do not know what else to check. I got stuck in some mud about a month before the light when on. I had to be dragged out. Is there anything on the bottom of the car that could have been snagged?

thank you

Check the purge valve. I had that code when my engine was swapped, turns out the purge valve connector was destroyed, and the valve was not functioning, setting off the CEL. Also test the valve itself if you can, while the engine is running, usually when cold, if you put your hand on the valve you can hear it click.

Thank you for the response! My purge valve seems intact. I think I am going to check under the car in the rear where it may have scraped and see if anything is torn. What's the best way to lift up the back of the car to check?

Here's the vehicle lift guide in the repair manual. Take some rubber pucks and line them up with the pinch welds, then jack the car up, and shove a jackstand under the subframe. If you're unsure please check YouTube, proper visuals may help more than a document, you do not want to accidentally send a jackstand up into the cabin.
