Default de-facelifting the 09 facelift?

Hi good boys and girls

Just bought a 09 facelift 250.

And i hate the signal markers and the chrome trims on the wing mirrors. What an abomination. (though i do quite admire the lights below the mirrors that light up when are near)

I rather much prefer my signal markers on my fenders. Has anyone ever de-facelifted the mirrors and swapped fenders? Wait, do the prefacelift cars have normal mirrors and signal markers on the fenders?

I have a 2012 350SE in 1G1 silver,
I didn't like the chrome as well so I painted it gloss black and tinted the turn signal lamp, it worked out well for me and I love them now, less expensive than swapping fenders and re wiring. I'm in South Africa so we have early models with turn signals on the fenders but I didn't like it.

I think I saw ppl doing the revers, the pre-facelift to post-facelift conversion. I doubt anyone did the post to pre, cause the consensus seems to be that the facelift style mirrors are cooler. Having the pre-facelift version, I kinda agree. Btw the pre-facelift versions also have the courtesy lights, located underneath the mirror casing. What I would do if I were you is:
1. Dechrome the chrome bits.
2. Put some shield sticker on the fenders, like F-sport logo for instance. I think that will kinda have the same aesthetical function as having the indicators there.

yes you can swap the mirrors with early versions which did not have any signal lights on them. they do still have the puddle lights that light up upon approach.

Ahhh so those are called puddle lights. cute name lol. Was wondering if anyone had fitted fenders with markers. was curious abt how complicated the wiring would be... or its just quite straightforward; a matter of splicing and connecting a harness to the fender markers?
