Default Redline Issues RR Tune!

I had the new RR tune flashed into my car few days ago, new tune has the 7200 redline, see attached pic the tune was successful, and when engine first started it stumbled which is also a sign tune was uploaded.

But when driving car in normal D auto and when floored engine still shifts at 6500, and if I put in manual shift mode and hold it in gear the engine will rev past 7000 without sputtering.

Ive been talking with Rafi at RR hes been helpful and responsive, but we both cant figure out whats going with the redline??

As far as I know of, I believe the car shifts at 6500 no matter what, that rev limit increase just lets you go past 6500rpm when in manual shift mode.

Yeah, I looked at one of the tunes back then; I'm not sure if it's this one or another one; and you have to put it in manual shift mode for the tune to work at higher RPM so I never bought it. But I think you can be in manual shift and just put that to the highest gear and it will still work.

I am surprised that you said Rafi is confused as its stated on their website that the car will need to be in manual in order to be able to shift at the higher redline. Thats how it was in my car and also every other 2IS I seen with a tune... and not just the RR Racing tune

Please note that 2nd gen IS and GS models need to be in manual mode with traction control off to allow shifting at rev limit.”
