Default VLAND Headlights Causing Radio Static!

I decided to create a new thread to get attention from anyone else who has the VLAND LED headlights. They were installed recently they look great gives car new updated look.

BUT they are causing EMI interference/static with the car radio its annoying! Has anyone found a solution to this???

Ive been emailing VLAND with NO response!!

Im researching solutions--FERRITE BEADS and EMI BLOCKING FABRIC. With the beads I might have to take the headlights out which I dont want to do, the fabric I can wrap the backside of the headlight unit while in the car, dont know if it will work but worth a try!

I installed my Vland headlight back in 2019 and do not experience interference/static when using the radio.

Do you get static across different frequencies? or only on certain frequencies/stations?

It is also possible that there have been component changes on the headlight that may be causing the unintentional noise (EMI).

honestly this screams grounding issue.

to my knowledge Vlans are LED lights. That being (i think) the case, there would be no switching power supply or boost circuitry needed. That is usually what causes EMI.

I would start looking at the grounds of both systems. Make sure they are all clean and solid. It would be good (if you know how) to measure potential difference (Voltage) between the grounding points of both systems with respect to the actual ground terminal of the battery.

Only certain stations have more static, when I turn on the Vlands some stations go from no static to static so theres proof of the EMI

Garage door openers get interference from using LED bulbs on them, so I assume this is the same issue.

LED lights can sometimes cause car radio interference due to the electromagnetic interference (EMI) generated by their power supplies,; this interference can be picked up by the car radio, causing static or noise on the signal.
