I’ve had the hot car radio glitch for years now. (2008 RX) only happens about twice a year. Last night after starting out I noticed the radio dial had no backlight with headlights on. Turner headlights on and off, turned radio on and off, still no backlight. Turned right turn indicator on, boom came right on. Stayed on and was back on when I drove again later.

Yea my radio acts up weird once in a while where I can’t control volume or change channels or even see anything in the backlight. It’s very odd I never experienced this before with any vehicle and it’s rather unacceptable. Not sure what to do about it though. Will try your indicator method on the next one. Maybe someone knows a reason for this issue?
