Default Radiator hose (Upper & Lower) inquire

Interested if members have used an aftermarket equivalent to the OEM Upper radiator hose (16571-31170) and Lower radiator hose (16572-31250)

HPS Reinforced silicone hose kit 57-1267-BLK etc.?

Great purchase if you hate having money in your pocket. What's wrong with the original hoses? If I had to choose aftermarket I'd go Dayco.

No issue with the OEM hoses. Interested if any advantage with the silicone hose and if they fit without issue as with the OEM radiator molded (EPDM rubber ?) hose.Does the lower hose manufactured by Dayco / Gates etc. have to be cut to length, or come pre-molded as with the lower hose and OEM hoses?
Believed Sumitomo manufactured the OEM hose, but may be incorrect.

Aftermarket hoses are pre-molded unless the description says "cut to fit". Silicone has this mystique to it for some reason in reality silicone is not that durable for example silicone vacuum lines don't last at all compared to original which I believe are neoprene.

If ain't broke don't replace the OE parts.

I understood the silicone hoses (HPS / ThermalFlex etc., assume completely made from silicone), had an advantage where extreme heat is a concern, over OEM EPDM due to silicone having higher temperature resistance / tolerance. Is use of special clamp may be needed when using silicone (lined clamp / constant torque clamp) ?

Thank you Mike!

Cons of Silicone Radiator Hoses:

Permeability:
Silicone hoses can be more permeable than rubber, potentially allowing small amounts of coolant to escape over time.

Cons of Rubber Radiator Hoses:

Limited Temperature Range:
Rubber hoses may not perform as well as silicone hoses in extreme temperature conditions, limiting their suitability for high-performance or specialized applications.
Susceptibility to Wear: Rubber hoses can be more prone to wear and degradation over time, especially when exposed to heat, chemicals, or ozone.
Shorter Lifespan: Due to their susceptibility to wear, rubber hoses may need to be replaced more frequently compared to more durable materials like silicone.
