Default Battery Flat, Alarm when charging.

Hi, I have just bought an 06 IS220D (no option for this when signing up for the website). I left the lights on last night by accident and when a neighbour knocked to inform me I found I couldn't use the fob to enter the car and there was a regular thudding/clicking round coming from under the bonnet.

I managed to get into the car with the emergency key, and turn off the light switch. This morning I brought out my trickle charger to sort the battery but as soon as I connect it, the Alarm (a series of loud honks) sounds constantly. I have tried unlocking the door manually and pressing the unlock bottom the fob as I am hooking up the charger (suggested on a similar help post) but neither has worked.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

First you're going to need more than a trickle charger if you've flattened the battery. Second I'd disconnect the negative cable and charge the battery to full before reconnecting it. Good luck!
