Default HELP, alarm malfunction

I just went to reconnect my negative battery terminal after doing some repairs, and my alarm goes off and won’t turn off. I’ve even let it blow and turned on the ignition, keeps blowing. Any suggestions?

What did you do to get it resolved?

This is an interesting problem. You need to tell us more info so we can help you.
Is it the factory alarm?
Why was your battery disconnected?
Do you have a Key Fob, or just a key?
Did you try and disconnecting and reconnecting the battery?

After trying several ways I was able to get it reset by clicking lock/unlock on the fob 3 times. Neighbors weren’t happy…..

Glad you got it taken care of! Was this a factory alarm? So glad I don't have neighbors!

It was the factory alarm, fortunately my neighbors are 400-1200 feet away. But all three came out to look

I'm going to have to test my alarm, I think they all have one but I've never heard mine. I'll have to lock it up with a window or the top down then reach in and open the door and see what happens. I know with my other car or the truck if it goes off hitting the unlock button on the fob will stop it... I guess I'll find out!

BTW...I learned the hard way...Do NOT lock the car and then pop the hood. I did so and was blasted by the alarm. I fumbled with the fob for a while before it cleared. It's a good thing when the neighbors come out...it lets you know they'll be checking if a perp sets it off!

So I checked mine, locked it all up but left the drivers window down, reached in and opened the door with the handle. Alarm when off just as it should and a double tap (I think) on the unlock button shut it off. So yay my alarm does work.
