Also, interested in knowing if the Tokai Rikamirrors (Auto-dimming, HomeLink, Compass) are interchangeable between the 2008 - 2013 IS 250 & 350 vehicles. For example, can a 2009 IS350 mirror be installed in a 2008 IS350 without issue/ plug "n" play?
Did locate the following discussions however, unable to confirm use / compatibility of OEM Tokai Rika mirrors between the 2006 - 2013 model years;
What issue did you have the company service (faulty Auto-dimming, HomeLink, Compass issue or dark spots removed from glass surface)?
Dark spots - it looked like somebody had put duct tape on the mirror and pulled it off leaving glue - but it was just the coating breaking down. It looked like the posted picture on the left side.
Not exactly answering your question, but I had the spotty mirror issue and looked into radar mirror, but then I realized it would cost almost the same to buy a Frameless Gentex Mirror.

That mirror is $269 at Amazon which seems a lot more expensive. I am comparing my IS's mirror which had homelink and a compass though. Other models might cost less.

Not my thread, but the following thread shows that you can retrofit the RC350 frameless mirror into the 2is. It's almost a plug 'n play type of retrofit, plus you get Lexus OEM quality reassurance! https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...350-isf-3.html
Have since sent in OEM mirror to be serviced by Radar-Mirror.com. The entire process took 11 Days from sending in mirror to mirror being returned (I assume time frame would also depend on your proximity to the Radar-Mirror.net offfice).
Scott (Radar-Mirror), confirmed that the service would eliminate the dark spot issue from returning, and also confirmed mirror (if equipped with Homelink option). would not have to be reprogrammed after the completed service.A very positive service experience with Radar-Mirror.com!
I would recommend purchasing the following, to have installed while OEM mirror is being serviced; LECAMEBOR Universal Rear View Mirror, $15.39
I highly recommend this mirror Did not move when affixed to windshield and is about the same size as the OEM and installs in the same location without issue. Installing and removing was easily accomplished.as well. Great investment.for future use as well, if needed.
Thank you again Protholl for posting your experience with Radar-Mirror.com !
