Default Ignition Coils/Head Gaskets Need Replacing!

Yesterday I had a nasty expensive wake up call !! Driving car and cyl 5 coil went bad causing shuddering and loss of power, I was able to limp car to Tustin Toyota, where the diag fee, labor, and new coil was total $450! They said they gave me discount I dont think so!

And the tech said the head gaskets are leaking oil into the coil tubes which could cause ignition coils to fail.

New set of OEM coils $500 I can have my friend install the other 5, new head gaskets still getting quotes!

Valve cover gaskets are leaking into the spark tube wells on both banks?

You can get the same ignition coils on RockAuto for half the price of each.

Denso is the OEM manufacturer of these.

When you pull the coils are they covered in oil? Also pick up some dielectric grease and add some to each coil before you put them in place.

Example for BMW

I found these ignition coils on ebay but Im suspicious they are not OEM even though says OEM. How can they sell a pack of 6 for $129.99 when at the dealer they sell for $109.99 each??!!

Yeah... totally fake. Discount parts monster (Toyota dealer) has them for about $88 each and that's the best price I've found.
