Default Ripp Performance Coil Packs?

Has anyone replaced the coil packs for the RC with the Ripp coils? My RC is getting to where she could use a tuneup with some new Laser Iridium’s and possibly some new coils from Ripp. I see tons of reviews for the Tacoma , but nothing for the RC. Gotta be someone who has replaced the OEM coils with these .

Um, maybe no one on the board has done this? You must also consider that are probably lots of us who simply own an RC, but aren't going to change the suspension or exhaust systems, or make other mods to it. I just love and drive mine and let the dealer maintain it (I do change my own engine/cabin air filters and have done some LED replacements).

BTW, your signature doesn't mention that you own an RC.

Its ok , I just chalk it up to the RC just isn’t a community like The GS community , or it could be that I’m an old man at 43 , and all the owners of the Rc are young guys . I’ll never know 😬😬

I have not updated my signature , but I surely do have a RC and also a NX.

I'm 62. I traded my NX for a CPO '15 RC in 2018. I wanted a "sports car", but also wanted comfort and luxe features in a reliable brand, and the RC was the right choice for me. We're getting ready to order an MB GLC Coupe from Germany soon, which will replace it. Hopefully the new one will be announced soon.

It could also be that there have been about 250K GS models sold in the US (since 2005), but only 47K RCs (since 2014). But I really have no idea.

I haven't tried these yet, but I was looking at their website and their description says that they work for the V6 2GR-FKS engine. I think most V6 RC 350 uses a 2GR-FSE engine if i'm not mistaken. Pretty cool if someone else tried it and see if there are any performance gains or whatnot.

I purchased a set of the coil back in April.

Yesterday my car threw two CEL and started misfiring pretty badly. P0353 and P0355. Cylinder 3 and 5 Ignition Coil Primary/Secondary Circuit issue.

I replaced the coil packs with my OEM ones and no more issues, even feels like it's running better now.

I've seen on some other Toyota (and other makes) forums this has happened to quite a few others with the RIPP product.

Just keep the OEM ones. These do nothing if not degrade performance and reliability. Garbage waste of money.

Check Triple Creations on ebay. They sell brand new KYB oem's. I bought one for $850. Out of the UAE.
