Ticking noise under the car while park
Hi.
I just purcahse 03 IS E-shift 3 weeks ago, and I just notice that I have a ticking noise under the car while I park my car in my garage when the engine still running (I can hear the noise pretty well when the door is open, but none when the door is close). I usually hear them when the car is warm/after use. It only happend on park gear and gone as soon as I shift it to reverse or drive gear.
Are this normal for IS?
Thanks

You sure it only happens during the times you stated? Sounds like the ticking is coming more from your exhaust and catalytic converter cooling off from the heat.

Thanks for the respons guys.
But I still do not understand, because the noise is gone as soon as I shift my gear from parking gear to reverse or drive gear. is shifting make a different on heating shield?

are you sure it's not just the noise of the injectors. I had asked the dealer the same question from a sound I heard from around/under the car and he had said it was just the ticking of the injectors. Is it a constant ticking noise?
