Wire Harness Terminal Plug Connector - broken. How to buy and fix them?
Wire Harness Terminal Plug Connector - broken (either at the tab clip, or the body, due to aging). How to buy and fix them?
Working on a 2002 IS300. So many of these harness connector plugs have their tabs broken off.
Do they have a system to ID these connector plugs so that we can buy them?
Do lexus even have them as parts available for sale?
Do they come with wires and pins already inserted (so that I can cut and spliced into the existing wire)?
Or they could come with pins so that I can clamp (what tool?) the pins on the existing (extended or not) wire before inserting into the plug?
Or I use a needle to unclip and remove the existing pins and insert into the new plug?
Mainly the question is "how do you ID them and where do you buy these plugs?"
i don't want to go to junk yard to try my luck.
These are the connector plugs I am talking about. I have sure you have broken their tabs at least once:

Went through this same thing.
I ordered “pigtails” from Ballenger Motorsports.
bmotorsports.com.
I also found the wiring documents, which came in handy to find the exact connector.
the connector in your picture is for the VVTI solenoid.. correct?
It was suggested to me to redo the connectors with new terminals, which is why I suggest purchasing the ready to go pigtails... then you cut and splice yourself.
