Wiring Harness Repair Questions
I'm in the middle of my build now and I need to start focusing on my engine wiring harness. My end goal is to tuck and hide it away.
However...
My harness is worse than I thought. Now, I've never done this before, but I trust my ability to get it done correctly. What I'm asking is how I should go about fixing it!?
My intentions were to locate each and every plug I have and label it at both ends of the wire. Once I've done that, I would clip the plug off, add it to the new wire and remove the old one completely. Do that x100 for every plug/wire until I'm only left with the plugs I need (I removed deleted some stuff). I would probably add ECU pins to the wire ends, but not plug them into the ECU until I have everything plugged in and the car wired up... That way when I go to tuck, It in theory should be easier to extend the wires and get them where I need to be, all while hidden.
Thoughts? I feel like I'm making it sound too easy.
Pictured below is how the previous owner(s) extended my harness. After said extensions, my wires are all tangled, crossed, messy, etc.
