Default 04 IS300 Lost Key

I recently lost my only key for my IS300, and the Lexus dealer quoted $900 to get everything replaced. I have done some research but have found mixed responses as to whether its possible to outsource any of the work. Are there any cheaper options? Any help would be appreciated.

Call up some locksmiths and find out. You need to program it to match the ecu. Worse case, i think its cheaper to buy a new ecu on ebay with a key thats already programmed to it

Find a localsmith and have them do it. I recently needed a new key and I had a local guy quoted me $100. Way cheaper than the dealer.

The ecu can be flashed and keys can be made using the vin. I'm pretty sure the ecu can be reset using Techstream on that year. Just need a passcode.
