I have the same problem and need help as well. I took my car to my mechanic and he said it’s the wiring. Recommended I convert my headlights to LEDs. I guess it would be cheaper than fixing the HIDs.

You need to replace the ballast. I replaced both of mine last fall. You have to remove the front bumper - then the headlight assembly to replace them. There are instructions and videos how to do it online. ( youtube and my-is forum site ) not hard to do if you are able to turn a wrench and follow directions. I only had one ballast out as well, but chose to replace both. I also replaced all the bulbs ( I mean every bulb including the turn signal bulbs ) 2 on each side because you have to remove headlight assembly to repace those as well. I ordered my ballast off Amazon from a company that has free replacement I think for 6 years, and they have been fine.

A cheaper alternative to replacing the OEM Toyota ballast with a new one is to buy an HID kit for our cars then use the aftermarket ballasts with HID bulbs that fit in the OEM housings

Update: replaced ballast fixed my problem. Replaced both with Denso originals. $100 for two on eBay. Thanks Kinsha
