Default Changing left side headlight connector

Alright. Im just getting off work, get in my car and turn my headlights on, left side is out. So i checked it and the connector as well as the bulbs are fried. Ive searched the forum about crimping and twisting. I dont know anything about wiring so i was wondering if someone can dumb it out what that means and step by step how to properly change it. Any tips advice would be helpful

What do you mean by fried? Did it short out or something? U can either use butt connectors or solder and heat shrink it.

one side of the connector has melted and when i checked the prongs in the bulb socket, it was burnt. im not sure what caused it but i did ran hids before until i noticed the drivers side flickering so i took them off and put on the original bulb it came with. then this happened

Some pretty dangerous boy-racer stuff. Keep in mind that these wires will receive road vibrations so a secure connection is paramount. If it were me, I would solder and heat sink, or wrap with elec tape.
