New member here!

I've been reading this web site and the forum for more then a year. I was in the hunt for an 1997 SC300 5-speed ( it's like the search for the Holy Grail ). After almost 2 years I gave up.

I ended up buying a 2002 5-speed IS300 GGP instead. Great car! Looking forward to being a more active member of CL.

Hey!

What kind of turbo you have in your IS300? I am looking for bone stock SC300 5SPD. Please let me know if you know anyone is selling. Thanks!

B-Lexusfan,

Welcome to the club. I too was interested in an 1997 SC 300 5 speed, but.....I chose a 2002 blue/black 6-speed IS 300. I hope ClubLexus can help you with many, or possible all, your questions you might have with your IS 300.

hahaha, ethan, were you able to get to 3rd gear in the rsx-s? the is3 should be a bit easier to drive from my experience, but grinding gears is never a good idea

have fun driving stick shift, it's an awesome feeling!

and yes, your car should have 300 at the wheels easy

Sure. I'm flying to Dallas to talk to Jarrett on upgrading it even further. We will see how that goes since my heart has always been in the Supra.

By the way, from what I understand, you won't believe which "tuner" Lexus used to do the 3UZ-FE engine swap into the IS...it makes me sad...

Ethan
