HEY GUYS!

Im new to the forum thanks for having me!

was installing gaskets between an obx header and obx ypipe.

ring gaskets im using are http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Re...Dp%3d3%26N%3d0

anyway the flanges dont touch each other. i havent tightened any of the bolts down or anything just threaded the nuts on to hold the pipe up. but is this normal? will the gaskets crush together when i torque the bolts or not? please help.

First off welcome. From what I recall when doing this, there's a gasket in the exact size of the flanges that's crushed.
