Exclamation Ecm Hard Rest

I know that is not recommended but.. How long will it take for it to completely die once disconnected from the battery. The car hasn't been driven since yesterday. Just wondering so I can get true reading of codes since I had to replace so many sensors.

Doesn't take that long. Tap the brake pedal a few times once the battery is disconnected and you should be good to go. Code readers can be had for $60 or less, I personally use the ebay bluetooth adapter and an app on my phone to diagnose and clear codes. Total investment was under $10.

I have an android. Buy an ELM327 (doesn't matter which one) from eBay and download the app called Torque. It's pretty simple to set everything up and it shows real time ecu info.

Did you get it reset?
