so the is 300 I got has error code 1 when trying to play a cd I heard these cd players aren't great

so looking for aftermarket

thinking either:

JVC KW - XR810

or

Alpine CDE-W235BT

both are double DIN

any suggestions??

How about instead of replacing the head unit with one that doesn't fit the dash well, add a Grom Audio external input for USB, Ipod, or standard MP3 player...

My cd player works fine but I have never used it - first mod to the car was one of the above mentioned units...

If you want the old radio to work, try pulling the radio out of the dash, remove the cover on top of it and find the laser lens. It might be foggy to look at.. Clean it and then I think your CD player works again Had the exact same problem with mine when I got the car

...and, it is a very easy fix!
