Default 1is in SA(newb)

hey i been on here a littlebit and finally looking at getting my 1is looking clean... i have a 03 msm fully stock 80k miles ...

basically i just want to make it look clean with a flush look. i dont need any go fast thing.. im thinkin just real nice rims , springs, and front lip . since im a newb any help would be appriciated sorry for the long intro..

are Tein S. tech good springs to go with?

what can i do to get a nice set of 18" looking flush how much width could i go on rims?

and is a greddy front lip a good one?

thanks again im new and from san antonio tx.

Your on the right track. Those springs are good but coilovers are reconnended because of the adjustability. But you wont be disaoppointed with tein s techs. Wheels vary alot on offsets and tire size. A set of 18x8 and 18x9 rear with around a 35 or so offset will get you pretty flush depending on tire size. And the lip I like it but most all name brand lips are good just pick the style you like

im likd the greddy style lip for the fronf end..

i heard coilovers arrent that great eith the is cuz of the weight... that coilovers r better on lighter cars like civic n integras... idk that just what someone told me spring woukd be the way to go..

and as for rims i want to find some that r 2"lipped in the front 3" lipped in the rear with a basic 5 star design...

mmh dont know where you heard that from. bad info right there. generally when people do hella flush style they want their car slammed. springs cant get you there. but Tein makes good stuff

the Greddy lip is nice. you'll need a replica from VIS or somebody in order to fit the USDM bumper.

You were highly misinformed on the coilover situation. And theres a difference between hellaflush and flush. Flush you can do on springs with taller tires and fairly wide wheels. Hellaflush on the otherhand is where my cars at (not my sig pic) and that took coilovers 18x9 front 18x10 rears with low offsets and me pulling my quarters an inch to an inch and a half. So depends on how far you wanna take it.

As for the coilovers you listed there are different versions of each brand so you will need to be more specific anf figure out what your pricerange is. I have tein ss and love them they have the adjustability I need the upper level ksports are great the megans are less expensive but not bad at all. If your gonna pay good money though I recommend stance GR they will get you low and offer plenty of adjustment

oh wow 18x9 / 18x10 i didnt know we could go that wide of a rim on is300..

so im guessin it cost more to be hellaflush then just flush.. thats understandble...

well this is my dd so i cant go too crazy with it, my budget for coilovers would be under 1k, right now ... i was hoping just with S.Tech springs woud do the trick.. :/

so whats more logically to do first buy the coils or rims n tires.... ?

wish i could afford both at the same time but only being 20 n in school i dont have that high paying job , yet...

Haha you have to pay to play in the Lexus world. But mines my dd most VIP cars on here are dd cars we justv use go through tires every month or so. Logically coilovers would be the best start because IS300s look good lowered on factory wheels. However they dont look good when they are 4wd status on a set of rims.

Now im trying to point you in the right direction but you can still get sortaflush on the tein springs with the right wheel/tire combo. But coilovers will benefit you in the long run.

And for the money buy the tein ss coilovers. They are right at your budget and I love mine.

Not as much adjustment and tein ss can sit lower I think the spring rates are different as well. Tein basics were just made to have an inexpensive competitive coilover thats more affordable for those who arent greatly concerned with alot of adjustments
