Exclamation catalytic converter(check engine light)

Hi,im looking for some information on my 2006 is250 awd.I recently had my check engine light come on.First time was 6 months ago for multiple misfire, coilpacks, now definately converter.I was told by toyota it was bank 2?Is this left, right,or center section?I was told it is opposite cylinder one,and also the reverse. With not many choices out there for exhausts, what would be the best way to go even if I I have to replace all the way back.We dont have emissions here in sw pa so I'm not worried about that.I know megan makes headers for rwd but not awd.Are there headers out there to fit awd? Thanks,Bob

i had one of those...

i wanted to make sure it was the cat, i was pretty skeptical..

i heard the gas cap can sometimes cause a check engine light..
went to the store and filled up the tank.
came home, turned the car off and removed the gas cap, screwed gas cap back on making sure it was on there properly, disconnected the battery flashed the lights to make sure all the juice was out of the system, went inside for an hour, reconnected the battery, started the car and cruised around for half an hour to ensure the light was gone....

hasn't been back since...
4 months ago.....

this is just my experience with my car, it may not work for you but in the end at least you know your gas cap is on right!

Someone needs to move this to the 2nd Gen IS250/350.

I have heard that 06-07 2IS have had emissions issues in cold/wet climates. o2 sensors to bad catalytic converters. Its fixed in the 09 and newer 2IS. Might want to see if its under warranty...

I would suggest going to Autozone and having them scan your computer. Then write down the codes that pop up. Come back to this forum and search the codes. You might have a better answer to what your problem is.
You can even google the codes and get multiple forums that have had the same issue.
