Default 2002 IS300 o2 sensor bank 2 question

hey all

i have an 2002 IS300 5-speed with no name brand headers.. now its throwing a code

P0161 - O2 sensor bank 2

i believe that is the sensor that plugs onto the stock precaton the headers..

i want to know what i can do to not trigger the CEL..

Expert Gurus. help and advice is needed.

You can try the anti-fouler method or get an o2 simulator.

A simple search will answer your question. This is from the 2GS section but exact same applies to 1IS.

It's the rear O2 sensor passenger firewall area on the pipe right as it curves back flat. This was the first thing I had to change on my IS when I got it. Same code.

The TokenSolutions product is your best bet in resolving this cell, been running it for quite awhile now with no issues

Also I created this image a little while ago when I put my megan headers on, found all the info spread out and not exactly easy to understand so I decided to put it all into one.

nymidas, that is an EXCELLENT image. if you made that, i highly suggest you watermark it. i wish i had that a few days ago when i was trying to figure out my own O2 sensor problems https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...nspection.html.

in the past few days i've gobbled up a lot of information regarding O2 sensor problems. from what i've read, an O2 sensor blocker will only work if you have problems with the cat or lack thereof. if you have any codes other than P0420 or P0430, i doubt a blocker will do the trick.P0420 and P0430 address the cats [ONLY] on each bank specifically.

P0161 is a heater circuit code. you might need a new O2 sensor unless you can find a sim that will simulate the heater signal.

Sure did, thanks Not too worried about watermarking, made it early last year and noone has really claimed it on the other forum I posted it on.
