Default Fog Light Mod?

Hey guys, so i want to have that super bright yellow fog lights that stands out. i have always heard about doing a 3k hid kit but more i read into doing it, its not like a straight easy installation that i have seen before.

----> https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...tallation.html

if all else fails, I will just have to do it; unless u guys have a other path to achieve these results.

i modified the fogs so the lens are clear so it will have to be a bulb that does this. please write me with what you think i should do and if you have pictures that would be great. thanks in advance

oh and who has done the mod alternating the fogs to stay on alone. (http://my.is/forums/f90/how-alternat...method-199809/) I have always tried to stay away from wire work but would be really interested in doing this. How easy (if at all) would this be for a beginner to do, and is that the only diy: thread showing how to do this and that process.

The DIY for the standalone fog mod is out dated. It needs to be refreshed with new pics. Its hard without pics. I had done it to a few cars on the forum, as well as my own. But when I did mine, the pics still worked. So I can explain it, but it will be hard without pics.

As for the HID fogs, without the yellow lense, you will not get yellow. You can go with yellow overlays to get the same effect. I dont have HID's in my fogs, so I cant give you more details. Sorry

thank u guys. I was planning on probably getting the overlays if I couldn't get a bright yellow bulb.

N I might still try the 3k hids but disappointed that it wasn't going to b as simple as doing it on another car.

Save your money and time and just go get the HID kit. It's so worth it. Look up HIDXTRA they're a vendor here with good kits and great prices.

Yup! He did it on my car. For the most part it's not that tough to do. I should have taken pics. It's a lot easier though with pics. You should post a thread in the regional section and ask if anyone can lend you a hand. I'm sure you will find some help. It takes like 20 min or so.

Here's mine w/yellow overlays from Aerotect:

i did the fog mod when i first got the car..srsly it takes no time at all..you spend more time pulling apart the kick panel and fuse panel than it is to rig up the fog wiring

I have 4300k HIDs in my fogs. Its a very brilliant yellow. looks very clean in my opinion.

That is the difference between stock 9006 bulbs and the 4300k HIDs.

Are you using the stock switch or aftermarket switch?

Here you go, this is what I used when I did mine. The pictures still work and I've had no issues.
