Honda Prelude???
I just got beat buy a Honda Prelude Bad...........Please help
What can I do to my car to beat this guy. My car is stock, and his is a 94 prelude Vtec with exhaust and intake..
Ps.. I thought the IS300's where faster stock by like a 1/2 second in the quarter mile then the old preludes......

Ok, I have a 2001 e-shift .....Engine is stock with 18,900 miles...
My buddie, that owns the prelude vtec, keeps talkin crap that their is no way in hell my is300 is going to beat him. So we raced, I beat him off the line by about a car length, then he just walked past me, untill about 100 mph when we shut down, he was like 5 car lengths ahead of me...
Does anyone know what a stock prelude vtec (94) run in the 1/4? He says the last time he ran it at the strip, he ran a 14.7 @96 MPH, with only a intake and exhaust.....What is the stock time of the IS300e-shift? I This is really pissing me off. Got to beat him

94 VTEC lude can run high 14s with I/H/E.

hmmmm... don't know about this one..
My old car was 4th gen VTEC lude.
It ran14.3 with i/h/e, cam gear, pulley,short shifter, springs, and stock tires.
plus 5th gen (97-01) ludes are bit heavier than 92-96 VTECs.
When my car was stock I've ran with few 5th gens(both base and SH) and I find myself at least a car length ahead of em...
Anyways, IS300monster u can slap on a turbo or SC but its gonna cost u a bit.
But if u are on a budget like me, go for a good I/H/E setup, fuel management, and a race ECU.
