Default New IS300
Its an automatic though =/ just wondering on how much horsepower the stock transmission can handle up too, any thoughts?

The automatic IS300s hold up stronger than the manual transmissions when boosting. The stock internals can hold up to around 300hp I believe after that you will have to change it.

If you boost the car it is highly suggested that you beef up your tranny or you'll end up spending a **** load more on rebuilding it

I was told a valve body upgrade was necessary but it should take 300. Looking over the same option and Im going to buy another tranny once I boost. I know its not gonna last long.

I'm same as u "auto". I did toyo VB upgrade. I guess it depends on what VB u do and depends on how u drive ur car.

What hp r u targetting?

yea i got a 01 is300 auto but i have heard from alot of shops that 400 is the limit but im planning on some good numbers so im going to beef my tranny up for the numbers im planning on puting out
