Default Is 300

As a new member may I start by saying hi to everyone, I have just bought my first Lexus [IS300 model] and although I’m very happy with it I have made some mistakes.
1. Drove vehicle home at constant 40mph, this is wrong a computer controls the auto gearbox and learns the way you drive. Symptoms very sluggish took vehicle back to dealer to be reset, after they reset computer I was told just drive it hard for the first 200 miles: This corrected the problem.
2. Could anyone tell me if the vehicle stability and traction control system feels strange? On uneven road surface it has a mind of its own, and the easy to spin the rear wheels, I’ve been told it’s because the last car I owned was front wheel drive. I’m not convinced.
3. When slowing down dose anyone else get a strange noise from gearbox [it sounds like a bus slowing down] have been told by dealer it’s a combination of brake and tyre noise, I’m not convinced.

If anyone could give me advice please contact me at ARL1949@aol.com
