Ok, so I go into Austin Lexus today and talk to a guy at the parts counter. I asked him if I could purchase the 2002 tail lights (the smoked ones) for my 2001 and the 2002 rear view mirror with autodim and the compass. He said he would check on it for me and e-mail me later with what he found, he wasn't sure they would fit.. later I got this:

"I was checking on compatability on the items we discussed when you were in our Dealership and found that the Lights have different wire setup and sockets are different as well, and the same on the rear view mirror, and do not know how difficult that would be to rig those in there."

Can anyone else verify this? I cannot believe that Lexus would rev parts after only one year and no body changes, wouldn't that cost a lot of money to rev a plant as well as the parts??
