Whats up peeps! I got my my Greddy EVO2 today thanks to Gripmotorsports. It was 524.08 shipped!!! Was the best price i found.Anyway going to install it this weekend. Installation seems fairly simple. I have my PB blaster, airgun and silicone spray.
My QUESTION is. if anyone has tips or tricks for a smooth install will be highly appreciated. Thanks!!!!!!!
WD-40 is your friend. Since you are up in NY, your stock exhaust might be rusted from the salt they put on the roads in the winter, so hose down your bolts with WD-40. Also it helped to lubricate the rubberholders with WD-40 so it will slip out easier. It also helped to have a friend hold up the exhaust, but it can be done alone too. Good luck and have fun.
Put the car on a lift. More leverage for breaking bolts loose.
Is it a Catback or Axleback? Axle, cake. Cat, get a friend to help. Will be lot smoother
Its a catback and i have someone to help. I will be using 4 jackstands plus w/ a airgun wont need a lot of room. Damm its raining today!!! hopefully sun will be dry.
like others said, if you could post pics when youre done and let me know how easy it was do install thatd be great! looking to pick one of these up in october.
Alright fellas it took about 2 hrs between putting jackstands on all 4sides and install! pb blaster is a must also a buddy helps! I also added radiator clamps to lift and center the tip- (compress the rubber mounts) The sound is bad ***
w/ the SRT intake!
