Default o2 sensor issue

Alright, so to start off i got a P0161 code, i think? anyways it was the furthest back on the exhaust o2 sensor. Picked up the part, go to replace it, everything is going wonderfully, I broke the o2 sensor loose, then once i figured it was going to be coming out from there i unplugged the wire so it wouldn't wrap around the socket.

This is where everything goes wrong, i start to twist the o2 sensor out the rest of the way and it stops, so i use some more force, nothing, get a breaker bar, nothing, get a longer breaker bar, strips it, so i sawed off the end of the o2 and started to drill it out, maybe relieve the pressure on the threads, still didn't work, so i gave up. Took it to midas and they are saying the need to super head it to get it out but it might mess up the threads, in which case i would need a new pipe which apparently has a cat on it and cost 1100 from lexus, anyone have any ideas on what i could possibly do to fix this?

Thanks,
-Matt

well ... um, you're kinda stuck now since the old o2 sensor is stuck in there.

Only thing I could suggest is ... maybe weld a new set of threads into the now large-ish hole where the o2 sensor goes?

On the upside, once you've solved this, the only other thing that can mess with you is the CD stacker

haha yea i was thinking welding a new housing onto the pipe, it just seems crazy that the only way to fix it would be to get the new pipe when the person who put the o2 in in the first place didn't use antiseize, i need to find a way to fix this, thanks.
