Default Pulled over today...

YES!!! No front plate on my IS....want to keep it that way, but the state trooper didn't think it was a good idea. My father in law is a retired trooper and I BS'd him saying I have a plate bracket on order....and got out of the ticket. Anyone know where I can find a front bracket for my 2001 IS?? Thanks.

Ebay or the stealerships.

I would just put the license plate in your windshield. The plate cant be any higher than 3 feet off the ground. You wont be harrassed, if its in the windshield. If so, you can always take it too court. It would most likely be dismissed.
FYI, its not a moving violation, so it wont do anything for your insurance

Tie strap it to some L brackets mounted under the middle of the bumper at the lower grill. Trust me, don't drill the plate holder into your car. I have a bumper with plate that came on my car and it's worthless now with the holes in the bumper.

As opposed to floating in thin air? If it follows the car down the road when the car moves, it's attached.

lol love it

I mean like drilled into your bumper ... the easiest (and what looks like only) way around it is the tow hook kit for the cars where the tow hook is behind the bumper (as opposed to ours which are under the bumper)

its kinda dumb that they dont do it either cuz they could make more money.. they could charge the same price for 1 plate and save money cuz they are only having to use the material to make one plate per car

I hate the look of a license plate on the front bumper. That's why I never put one on yet....=) If I do get pulled over (knock on wood), I will use that same excuse of waiting for my plate bracket to come in. =) When I bought my Sportx it came with the two ugly drilled holes so I went and purchased a set of bumper plugs from Aerotect and it looks great.
